About The Barn

About The Barn

Pledgdon Barn is a remarkable ancient, beamed building erected the year after Henry VIII died in 1548.  That’s before the Book of Common Prayer or before Mary I or Elizabeth I reigned. It’s shortly after the Mary Rose sank and 30 years before Sir Francis Drake sailed round the world!
