This ancient and historic Tudor barn was erected the year after Henry VIII died in 1548! That’s shortly after the Mary Rose sank in Portsmouth Harbour and before Mary I or Elizabeth I reigned. It’s also 30 years before Sir Francis Drake sailed round the world.
These days it is licensed for civil ceremonies as a wedding barn venue and is ‘home’ to many lovely weddings, parties and occasions. Those that hire Pledgdon Barn can add their own decorative touches (and given access the day before their event, for decoration purposes) for lovely results. Ideal for rustic, hessian weddings or romantic barn decorations.
